About the Librarian
Cheri Rendler, Town Librarian
Cheri Rendler became Town Librarian in Fall 2023, after moving to Cathlamet to be closer to family. She volunteered at the Cathlamet Public Library for nine months prior to becoming Librarian. Cheri has a BA in English Literature from the University of Washington and a Masters in Library Science from Emporia State University. Her 28-year career included a variety of positions in public libraries in Seattle and Southwest Idaho, and included managing a small branch, choosing materials for the library, and public service and outreach work. Cheri loves the natural beauty of the area and is looking forward to serving the community. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, gardening and cooking.
